BOOK REVIEW – PS. I still love you

This is the second book from the ‘To all the boys I’ve loved before’ series. And although I liked the first one better, you should still try this one out. If you haven’t read the first one, don’t continue reading this post! I’ve warned you… there will be spoilers.

You still read about Lara Jean who at the end of the first book wrote another love letter to Peter Kavinsky explaining that she really liked him, for real this time. She wants their relationship to be real and not fake. The second book starts of with her actually debating when she is going to give the letter to Peter. When she finally has found the courage to go to his house, she chickens out and decides not to give the letter. Fortunately, peter sees the letter in her pocket and grabs it before Lara Jean can stop him. He reads the letter and they can be happy and in love, right? RIGHT?

The writer likes to make you think in the beginning of the book that everything is a ray of sunshine and then BAM, crisis. One of the guys Lara Jean wrote a letter to, but hadn’t heard from yet, suddenly comes in the picture. It’s the guy she liked during the same time she first liked Peter. When peter starts to hang around Genevieve again, Lara Jean gets jealous and doesn’t know what to think about it. Peter says Genevieve has family problems and needs him. Nothing more then that. Lara Jean is in a situation where she loves Peter, but he seems to have his priorities elsewhere and there is that guy she wrote a letter who now is so nice to her and grew up very handsome. When he kisses her will she kiss back, or will she think about Peter? And what will Peter do when he finds out?

It seems like a lot of drama, doesn’t it? Well, it is. But a nice kind of drama. The kind that makes you want to continue reading. Because, the book is written very simple, it is very easy to get through. Which I loved. You can just sit back and fully enjoy the book. Without having to pay a lot of attention to it.
just like the first one I read the book in one go. It’s that good. Even when the first one was better. I would definitely recommend reading it.

If you have already read it, let me know what you thought about it! I love to hear other people’s opinions on books. Or if you know about books that are the same kind of theme please let me know! I’ve been looking for teen romance books for a while now, but I just can’t seem to find good ones.
