A panel of media professionals representing broadcast, print and alternative media will address a gathering of arts marketing managers, community volunteers, and artists on Thursday, August 25th from 3-5pm in the Chase Gallery at Spokane City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd, Spokane, Washington. The “Arts-Media Meet & Greet,” presented by the Spokane Arts Commission, will address specific, practical promotional tools that can be used to promote performing arts, music, film, or visual art special events.
At the time of this email, the panel includes representatives from The Spokesman-Review; The Inlander; KHQ Television; Spokane Public Radio, Community Minded Television, Clear Channel Radio, KXLY Broadcast Group, Spokane Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau and others.
Introductions and comments by the presenters will begin at 3pm in the City Council Chambers, after which presenters and attendees will adjourn to the Chase Gallery for an opportunity to meet one-on-one.

Tonight Washington Filmworks will be here in Spokane hosting an event at the new LaunchPad INW digs at 120 North Stevens in the 1889 Building from 6-8 PM. They are in town tonight to give Spokanites a chance to discuss the recent events in Olympia which led to the loss of the initial request to renew the Washington Film Spend, ands what the next steps are to reinvigorate this state mandate which has been so influential in brining film work to our fair city. Attending the event from the Washington Filmworks Board of Directors will be Chair Becky Bogard, Don Jensen, and Harry Sladich. Be sure to be in attendance and make your voice heard on why we need to fight to keep this program alive.
The evenings schedule will be as follows:
