Stereoscopic Cinema and the Origins of 3-D Film – Ray Zone

Description: Join host Dan Webster for two films based on books written
by this years festival authors. The first is the adaptation of Jane
Smiley’s A Thousand Acres, her modern retelling of Shakespeare’s King Lear.
The second is based on Charles Baxter’s novel, Feast of Love. It is an
exploration of all incarnations of love, told through the interweaving lives
of a community of friends in Portland, Oregon.

EWU Senior Class Short Film Showing

This Thursday April 9th, had on out to Eastern Washington’s Electronic Media and Film Department’s Building to catch this years crop of Senior productions from this last winter quarter. 8 films will be shown at this in Room 123 starting at 2:30 PM. Check the FAVES Calendar link at the right to add it to your calendar and find directions with Google maps to the show (address also listed below, bring quarters for parking on the street, parking lots are mostly permit only). Meetings Meetings Meetings!!!

Well all, we have tentatively outlined a schedule for Group meetings, they will be held on the Last Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7ish, the first 1/2 hour will be a social hour in and around Isabella’s in the <a href=” Saranac Building and then will move to the <a href=”Magic Lantern Theater in the same building at 6 and the evenings planned events will begin. Dates and events will be posted in the next couple of days and the Group calendar can be subscribed to at the link on the right.
