Get ready to be invaded, Spokane! Friday, August 27th, zombies will be converging on the city, walking around downtown, growling at innocent bystanders and… dancing to music by Mon Chéri?
Local filmmakers Thomas J. Brown and Pheonix Gabriel recently penned the pilot for a new Web series titled “After,” set six months after the zombie apocalypse. The series itself isn’t the typical guts and gore foray into low-budget zombie filmmaking, drenched in buckets of red food coloring and corn syrup blood and several pounds of white pancake makeup. It’s a “character-driven, high-tension drama.” A nighttime drama, hopefully.
While the series is about the human condition, fundraising for the project is anything but. The “After” team has organized a zombie extravaganza for this weekend: a Zombie Walk, followed by a Zombie Prom and capped off with a Zombie Pub Crawl.
